Keizer Hotshots beat OSA Inferno 2-1. No surprise there. I am going to see if I can scout Keizer next week because I feel they may be a sneaker.
OR Rush 95 Nike beat WSM Strikers 1-0. WSM may be the spoiler of the 'B' bracket if they can take care of Hotshots and Inferno.
Several of us are going to watch the LOSC vs FC Platinum game Sunday. Check back because I will post the results.

Sodium kicks a little ESU booty!
The score was no indication of how hard they played or how dominating Sodium was in the opening State Cup game this morning. In the 1-0 shut out of ESU Arsenal the lady warriors dominated from the first whistle to the last. When you out-shoot your opponent 8 to 1 (or more), you're bound to get one to drop. All game long the play was in the ESU side of the field with Sodium forwards running freely and shooting almost at will. The first half ended 0-0 but you could tell the Arsenal team was shell-shocked. Late in the second half during one of the many free-for-alls in front of the ESU net a Payten Sonnen to Katherine Kramer to Emmy Owens off the far post shot hit the back of the net in what would prove to be the game winner! The crowed erupted with cheers as the deserving trio (mobbed by the rest of team) hi-five'd and hugged.
The solid defense held to the end for an opening win!
Next up: 4/19/08 - 12:00pm @ Lakeridge HS #2 vs LOSC Extreme.
I will update the rest of the bracket when the OYSA website comes back online.
Great job today! GO SODIUM!

Today (Saturday April 12th, 2008)
To the lady warriors;
Today you begin the journey you have been preparing for since June of last year. Today you take the field for State Cup. But unlike where you were then, today you are a team. Today you will remember the blood, sweat, tears and exhaustion you endured. Today you will remember the sacrifices you made, how hard you have worked & fought and the lessons taught by Ronnie. Today, when you get to the field, look around you and see how far you’ve come, be proud. Rejoice in your fans who love and admire you. Embrace your teammates and know that each and every one of them will have your back today, and you there’s. Today balls will hit the net, and bodies will hit the turf.
Today you will be unstoppable. Today you are a team. THE team.
Today, you are SODIUM.
